Brian D. Springer

I grew up in Urbandale, then attended Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. After college I worked for the Wittern Group for about 3 years, in Marketing and Sales.  I started at Universal as Account Representative in 2011 and transitioned into the Sales & Marketing Manager in 2013. In 2017, we made management changes and I transitioned into my new role as Vice-President.

Outside of work you will find me….?

Chasing my two kids around! My son Bennett George (3 years old) and daughter Addison Anne (4 months old) - both keep my fairly busy. Aside from family time, I coach Boys Soccer at Waukee High School, and also stay busy exercising in some degree – biking, running, or working out!

Something one of your client’s may not know about you?

My dress-sock collection is a prized possession. From Bright Yellow Argyle socks, to socks with Umbrella’s on them, to Batman-themed socks with a “cape”, and much more! I love a good pair of unique dress socks!

Most Unique thing you have sold to a client?

Dog Tennis Balls - customized with an organization’s logo on it!

Why Universal?

It’s in the Family! I actually never planned on working here as a kid or during college, things just worked out this way and I wouldn’t change a thing! I love working at a company knowing I have a direct impact. I help people/companies grow and change their businesses every day.
